INVITATION

The members of RoBioSS (Institut Pprime UPR 3346) are pleased to announce a symposium entirely dedicated to sport simulation entitled: Sport, Measure & Simulation 2011 SMS 2011.

SMS 2011 is organised under the aegis of of ACAPS (Association des Chercheurs en Activités Physiques et Sportives) and the Société de Biomécanique.

SMS 2011 will be in CNAM-IFMI lecture hall, rue Gustave Eiffel Futuroscope Chasseneuil, France, 31 May & 1 June 2011.

The scientific program includes five keynote lectures and oral presentations.

Young researchers and PhD students are strongly encourage to present their works during this symposium.

The day before SMS 2011 (30th May 2011), two workshops will be organised by DelSys and Sensix.
These workshops will address the use of EMG and dynamometric measurements in human movements, respectively.

THEMES

Papers in all topics in the field of Sport Biomechanics will be considered for oral presentation. We especially solicit papers in the following areas of interest:

  • Modelisation and Simulation
  • Instrumentation
  • Equipment
  • Performance sports testing
  • Musculoskeletal mechanics
  • Injury / Rehabilitation
  • Fluid mechanics

PUBLICATION

The best articles presented at SMS 2011 will be published in a special number of Science & Motricité.
These articles will be selected by the Scientific Committee.

OFFICIAL LANGUAGE

The official language of this symposium is French.

However, abstract and oral presentations in English will be accepted. The main objectif of the congress is to stimulate discussion on sport biomechanics in a friendly environment.

Hence, in order to make easier the discussion, we will encourage the French speakers to present in French using slides written in English and to the non-French speakers to present in English with their slides in French. Help for translating slides in French can be provided.
